Motivation, Future .... !?
9:40 PM
Lately I've been spending a lot of time thinking and talking about my future especially with my friends who are going through the same situation as I am.
This is my last year of high school, I'm 18 years old now and in a little less than 4 months I have to choose a college and basically choose a path my future will go. I find it very scary as a lot of my friends do too.
The thing I noticed with a lot of my peers and with myself also is a lack of motivation.
To be honest I find it very difficult lately to get moving and started with studying and preparations for college/university.
The future it self scares me a lot and the biggest fear for me in life is unhappiness and failure and I guess I'm just scared of making a wrong decision in regards of my future and what I want to do in life.
For a long time now I'm trying to picture how everything is going to look few months from now when I graduate high school and I simply can't wrap my head around it.
As a person I'm very nostalgic and I know for a fact that I'm going to miss my classmates and my high school. In last four years I have learned many things about life and I've learned a lot about myself. I guess you can kind of say that I came out of my comfort zone especially this last year (if you want I can do a blog post about comfort zone and coming out of it).
The whole point of writing this post was for me to get out some of these thoughts that have been circulating in my head and to say to some people my age out there that they are not the only one feeling this way. I find it perfectly okay to be confused about everything new happening in my and everyone else's life. I also imagined this blog as some sort of a diary and a place to document my thoughts.
Some of you may clicked on this post hoping they will get motivated in some way, well I'm sorry to say that I don't have any groundbreaking advice to give you regarding motivation and inspiration. I hope that in the comments of this post we can give some good advice to each other because I sure need some to get me motivated to start studying and making plans for near future.
I hope you like this kind of posts
xo, Marie

I feel the same way, but if we want something,we should definitely fight for it and I guess it's time for some big decisions! I think this is a year to remember and let's make the best of it,but also find some time for studying!

I was in that position before I went to uni, and a lot of people in university still don't really know what they're doing and lack motivation. Don't worry too much about it, things will fall into place when they're suppose to!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best pieces of advice someone gave me before I started university was "Don't be scared to switch your university major. Almost everyone in university does at some point." This gave me more piece of mind starting the new chapter in my life. (And it's true, so many people I've talked to have switched their university major/courses around)
I've nominated you for the Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award on my blog if you'd like to take a look :)
