A very simple and easy recipe for a good old warm bowl of porridge :)
This porridge recipe reminds me of this holiday season because of the ingredians I put in it, you can follow this recipe and make yourself a tasty breakfast on christmas morning.
YOU WILL NEED:
1. Place the oats and the milk or water in a large pan over a medium heat.
2. Add a tiny pinch of salt and stir with a wooden spoon.
3. Bring to a steady simmer for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring as often as you can to give you a smooth creamy porridge – if you like your porridge runnier, simply add a splash more milk or water until you’ve got the consistency you like.
4. Now the fun part, add the rest of the ingrediants to your taste. While your porridge is still on the stove add vanilla exctract, sugar and cinnamon. Stir everyhing together and add an apple cut into small cubes.
5. Remove your porrdge from the stove and place it into a bowl, then sprinkle a little bit of cocoa powder over it.
6. Enjoy your porridge :)
And that's it, I hope you tried this recipe and enjoyed eating this christmasy porridge.

First post after little over two months and sadly it will be an excuse haha. I really wanted to give my all and start blogging regularly but university got in my way. I found myself very busy with uni work and activites I took on along side university. I'm on our local student radio and I'm also involved in ESN ( Erasmus student network). I'm very satisfied with my courses, newly made friends and all extra-curricular activities. I've been constantly on the go and in last 2 months I wisited four cities in my country. So with all of the work I have now on my hands this little blog of mine kind of got left behind, but now that I'm on my winter break I have some free time and I really want to keep my blog going and that for I'm determened to make time and organize myself so I can put out blog posts as regulary as I want.
These 5 days leading on to Christmas I wanted to put out a post each day to compensate for the long period of writing nothing. In todays post I just wanted to give you a small update on where I have been and why I haven't writen anything in so long.
Hope you are as excited for this holiday season as much as I am, read you soon

When it starts to get colder and cloudier outside I always like to bake, It just makes every home warmer in my opinion and the smell that surrounds the house while baking always reminds me of cozy autumn/winter days. And because of that I decided to make some cupcakes. I was feeling kind of adventures and I improvised with adding unsweetened cocoa to cake batter and replacing the milk in frosting with freshly squeezed orange juice.
The cupcakes turned out great, my family loved them and they were quickly gone.
Hope you'll try out this recipe because it makes some delicious cupcakes.
Pre-Heat the oven to 170 degrees celsius and bake for 20 minutes!
The Cupcake Batter Recipe:
125g caster sugar

Hi everyone!
I planned to post an ootd today but I'm starting to get sick and I wasn't so excited to take nice photos feeling rubbish in this gloomy and a bit cold weather so I opted for this post.
I don't know is it because of the autumn weather that is finally here but I am feeling very nostalgic.I actually found inspiration for this post in this zoella's old post.
It was hard to choose just few photos to represent my life in some way but at the end I decided to share photos mainly from my childhood and last 4 years because I find those periods defined me the most and are the happiest years of my life so far. All of the photos are with my family or friends because they are most important part of my life.
Each of these photos has a little story behind it of course but if not I just found them really cute, and that's why I choose them.
So there you go my life in 8 photos. You're more than welcome to do this post too, I would love to check your posts out if you decide to write them, so if you do leave me a link in the comments.

Exactly one year ago I put up my first post on this blog and I can't believe a whole year has passed since then.
Before starting this blog I had one together with my friend and another one on my own after that but they clearly didn't work out haha. I was very young when I started to get into blogging first and I didn't have a clue about what I was doing ( not that I have much now haha). I could not keep up with regular posts and I just gave up.
But after some time I started missing blogging and decided to start all over again. This blog is called Marie C's Diary because I imagined it being a place to write about everything I like, about fashion, lifestyle and a place to write down my thoughts. At first I rarely put up posts because last year was very stressful for me and just a whirlwind of events. Then when all the stress was behind me I decided to relaunch my blog this August, I decided to be a good blogger and put up posts on regular basis and to work more on my content.
So far it's going really well and I'm very happy and satisfied with my little blog. I rediscovered my love for blogging and I'm looking forward to writing my blog in the future :).

In some of my previous posts I wrote about university and the process of me loosing my mind over it, but I never told you where I'll be going to university to or what exactly I'll be studying. So here it goes, I'm moving to Dubrovnik.
The reason I've missed last two posting days is because I went to Dubrovnik to check out the apartment I will be living in this year and to look around the town a bit.
So to tell you more about what I'll be studying. The full name of my course/uni is Media and the culture of society, and it basically combines journalism and public relations, and that's something I'm very interested in.
My exact moving day is 8th of October and I must admit that I'm not so excited about the whole moving thing but I am excited for university and to start studying something that I have interest in.
What big changes are going on in your life and what will you be studying at uni if you have started it this year?

When I think of being relax I automatically think of being happy. I'm the happiest when I'm relaxed and I have a few things that always relax me and put me in a good mood so I decided to share them on my blog.
1. Go Outside
If you have something you have to do like a homework to write or read a book, listen to music I find it really nice to just go outside and do it, whether it being in your garden or a local park. This small change in my surroundings helps me clear my head and I always feel better being outside in the fresh air.
2. Hang Out With Your Friends
This tip maybe just for some of you. For me personalty it actually works the best. When I'm spending time with my friends I always have fun and I find myself without a care in the world. I give the credit for that to great friends I have.
3. Go For A Long Walk
Whether you go alone or with someone long walks or a nice hike tend to do a really good job when it comes to clearing my thoughts especially if the scenery is beautiful (like in the picture below from a hike I went on earlier this year).
4. Watch A Feel Good Movie
This one always does the trick for me. Watching a movie that I love or some of my favorite movies puts me instantly in a good mood. My all time favorites to watch are the Harry Potter movies.
5. Take Some Time Off
By this I mean take same time for your self and turn off your computer and cell phone, give yourself a break from the Internet and social media. What I do during this time is have a bath or just take a nap - you are never to old for naps.
Hope you liked this post and found it helpful :)
I had a little get together with my friends this Tuesday. We organised a BBQ party as a early birthday celebration of mine and a goodbye party for my best friend Matea because she moved to Birmingham to attend university there.
( I will tell you in advance that there are many photos in this post :D)
I spent the afternoon decorating my front yard with Karla and Matea, then around 6:30 pm everyone else came. My dad did the barbecue for us and we just hang out, laughed and had fun. Later on we moved the party from my yard to the beach in front of my house and stayed there almost till the morning.
My friends and I had an awesome time and I decided to share the photos on my blog because I like how they turned out and they are very dear to me.
